"She is beauty, she is grace. I specifically wanted the VariDesk Tall 40 for use with a walking pad. I tested out several converters that my coworkers have, and none extended high enough for me at 5'9" + the potential added 5-6" of a walking pad (without incline). I made a wonderful choice with the Tall 40. I purchased the converter first, about 3 weeks before getting a walking pad, to get my body used to standing. It feels great. I've been using it 5-6 weeks now, and I haven't sat at my desk since week 2. Definitely get a standing mat. It helps with foot fatigue/pain and potential back pain. I was gifted a topo mat from a coworker, otherwise I would have gotten the Vari Active Mat. It looks amazing with the wedges and bumps. Walking at my desk has been a dream. There's plenty of height to work with. The pad I chose is about 4. 5" tall without incline, and about 7" at max incline. Max extension of the Tall 40 is a perfect fit for me with max incline of my walking pad. The Tall 40 is super sturdy and construction seems to be excellent. I change the height of the converter several times a day moving between standing or walking. It's so easy and I have had no problems with it. I regularly walk at 2. 8-3. 1 MPH while working and have no issues with the desk converter wobbling. Materials are fine. It's easy to clean. There are a few minor aesthetic defects like tiny bumps in the surface, but they are few and do not bother me much (pic included). I will warn others to be cautious with hot plates, bowls, or mugs. I didn't think about it and placed a glass container from the microwave onto the corner of the desktop by one of the handholds (pic also included, but it's A little bit of the thin topper material is slightly raised, having separated from the core. It's not a big deal and it was absolutely my fault for not protecting it. My biggest gripes with the Tall 40: (1) the placement of the hand grips for the paddles. I have stuff falling through there constantly! (I am aware this is a "me" issue. ) I will also sometimes brush my hand against the paddle when using my mouse. I don't think there's another spot the hand grips could be moved to, though. If they were placed on the outside edge, it would be much harder to maneuver. (2) they don't also offer this desk converter in a narrower width! I realize it could potentially be less sturdy, but I wish I had room for more of my plants. . . (another "me" issue!). Shipping was much faster than I expected. I purchased 2/23 and it was delivered 2/26. TL;DR: I love it. You can't go wrong with this one. I would wait for one of Vari's sales. I got it 20% off."
"This desk is a game changer. I has having major hip pain due to prolonged sitting. The pain is 95 % reduced and getting better all the time. I would never be with out one of these. I'm 6'2" of pure western pleasure and this desk fits perfectly."
