Qualified customers may be able to use HSA/FSA funds on eligible Vari products by choosing Truemed as a payment method in checkout. Eligibility is determined through Truemed's quick health check during checkout.
Eligibility varies by product. Look for HSA/FSA messaging on eligible product pages right under the Add To Cart button.
Add eligible Vari products to your shopping cart (along with non-eligible products, if you choose), select "Truemed - Pay with HSA/FSA" at checkout, complete the quick eligibility check, and, if approved, pay the eligible portion with your HSA/FSA card and any remaining portion with your credit or debit card.
HSA/FSA accounts were created so individuals could use pre-tax money to pay for expenses used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition. Because HSA/FSAs use pre-tax money, you're getting more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than pay taxes on income and then spend it on health items, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in their health.

Qualified customers can use pre-tax HSA/FSA funds to cover purchases which are HSA/FSA eligible. For some items, only the portion that exceeds the price of a comparable, general-use item is HSA/FSA eligible.
Example:
- You're buying a specific product for a qualified health reason for $1,000.
- The cost of a comparable, general-use product is $250.
- Therefore, $750 of your purchase is HSA/FSA eligible. The remainder ($250) is ineligible.
At checkout, choose Truemed, then pay the eligible portion with your HSA/FSA card and the remainder (ineligible portion) with a credit or debit card.
If you are not approved through Truemed, you can return to checkout and complete your purchase using another accepted payment method.

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is a formal document issued by a licensed clinician on Truemed’s provider network. It attests that a specific product or service is medically necessary to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed health condition.
Truemed guides you through a clinical intake form during online checkout. No in-person visit is required.
No waiting is required either. If approved, you'll receive your LMN by email. But, you can complete your order with Vari right away, after completing the online health assessment during checkout. Once Vari is notified by Truemed that your LMN has been approved, your order will be released for fulfillment.
No problem! If you don’t have sufficient HSA/FSA funds, you can split your payment between your credit card and HSA/FSA card. You'll be presented with this option after you complete the online health assessment during checkout with the Truemed payment method.
